Melodia Combination electric reproducing piano and sixty five note foot pumper.
This is a wonderful piano I have owned for more than twenty years. The art case cabinet is in fine original condition including the gold leaf castings on the top of the posts and bottom of each leg. The veneer work is in fine European tradition. This piano was built especially for an exposition for the world's fair in Brussels in 1910. It comes with a large poster that hung over the piano and the original brochure.
Apart from being a sixty five note foot pumper, it is also a fully electric reproducing piano call a Virtuola. This expression system was designed to compete with the red Welte and other European reproducing pianos. It is of high quality with a two speed pump for amplification and an expression including an accenting device. It comes with a library of about fifty or sixty rolls. A week before I purchased this piano a technician ripped out the formed tubing leading from the tracker bar to the shifter and replaced the DC motor with an AC motor to make it run. Other than that it is unrestored.
Price: $3,800.
North Tonawanda band organ converted by Wurlitzer.
Here's your chance to step up to Wurlitzer 150 music. This organ is in very good working condition. It plays strong and has super tone! There are stops on the right side of the organ which enable the operator to turn off any or all of the louder pipes in the four front ranks. I did extensive service work on the organ about eight years ago to put it in great working shape. The pumps were done some time before and did not need doing again. I took the organ down to the chassis and rebuilt most of the components including the valves and key pneumatics. This organ is in such good order it's a pleasure to listen to.
This Wurlitzer, started out as a North Tonawanda with brass pipe work. When Wurlitzer converted over to their roll system the factory replaced the brass trumpets with wood pipes instead. This gives the machine a more listen-able sound and better tone.
You'll only need a trailer to enjoy this at the next rally.
Price : $22,000. OBO
